Hi All,
Getting ready to apply the chines and upper and lower hull sections in the next few days....for some reason the chines have me freaked out....it seems like it is going to be the most difficult part of the whole boat to assemble properly.
How have your experiences been with the chines? Am I making something out of nothing?

Hehehe... check my web site on the OD16. I had some 'interesting' chine challenges which I all managed to solve. Now, granted the chine goes on in the OD16 different than on the HM19 or even OD18..but it's the same principle behind it.
So...even though it looks 'impossible', it nevertheless is doable by a total noob like myself.

I did the chines and the lower panels in the last couple of days and hopefully the upper panels today. The panels fall right in place if you go by the plan, I was very nervous before starting with all the pieces laying on the floor they just didn't look right but it fell together sweet! Just roll up your sleeves and go you'll be surprized good luck!!

Mike:
I found the chimes to be sooooo easy, and then about a week or so later I realized just how poorly I had done and spent the next couple of weeks trying to "fix" all my mistakes....
Remember to trust the dimensions given.... don't try to improvixe because it doesn't look or feel right.... It is right...
Then just keep going.... everything will even out as you go along..
Good luck and keep building..
