I live in Australia and have just ordered the plans for the GV10 but unfortunately they will take a while to arrive. I am on holidays for a couple of weeks and want to get started ASAP. Could someone tell me all the materials that I will need to build the boat so that I can start sourcing all of them?
Eg with the fibreglass tape, what size do I need? Is it just for the seams or does the whole underside of the boat need to be covered by it?
Also, is someone able to send me the dimensions that I need so that I can start marking and cutting the plywood while I wait for the full plans to arrive?

Re: GV10 awaiting arrival of plans
You can see the bill of materials on the study plans page.
http://bateau.com/studyplans/GV10_study.htm?prod=GV10
3 sheets of 6mm plywood, 1 sheet of 9/10mm plywood
Fiberglass tape is just for the seams and to tape the frames together. It is 300 gm x 100mm wide woven cloth but you can always use stronger double bias tape of similar weight if you choose.
Extras:
If you are going to go fast (say a 9.9HP or above) then I always suggest covering the inside and outside of the bottom panels with fiberglass cloth, preferably 300-400gm double bias. This is in addition to the bill of materials.
Where are you located? I have a GV10 in Brissie I'm going to sell
Nobody can give you dimensions because it's just too complicated to describe - you'll just have to wait.

Re: GV10 awaiting arrival of plans
Hi Evan,
Thanks for the reply. The plans finally arrived today and I cannot wait to get started! Only thing is now I'm back at work and it is going to be difficult to find the time.
I am from Adelaide. Thanks for the offer of your boat, but this is more a project for me to get my hands dirty. I really enjoy woodwork whenever I can and I thought a boat would be a great project (and something thats I can use recreationally as well)!
Just looking over the plans I had a quick question. On the 'Part dimensions' page for the hull side on the stern end I cannot see a distance to mark that angle. I can see the width of the piece is 395mm and the next width is 384mm, however there is no dimension for that vertical angle?? I might just be missing something. I can post a photo if you don't understand my explanation.
Cheers

Re: GV10 awaiting arrival of plans
Please post your technical questions in the Upper "Small Boats" section - Jacques and I don't read this section all the time. Reserve this section for "Progress and non technical messages." Glad you got your plans by the way.
But 97 is the horizontal dimension from the corner to the edge of the panel. It keeps going missing on the metric version of the plans for some reason. I think I've answered this question about 6 times... Doesn't happen to all metric plans for some reason.
