I'm shopping for a bow mounted fuel tank for my OD16. I have it narrowed down to a Moeller 19 Gal with a 1/4" withdraw and a Todd 17 gal with a 3/8" withdraw.
Can anybody help me determine if the withdraw sizes would be an issue for me? A Honda 40hp 4-stroke is my planned engine.

thanks guys
Thank both of you very much. I just needed to hear that it wasn't an issue.
The bow tanks are shaped for the bow (short on one end long on the other). The tank will fit and leave room for an anchor well plus additonal storage and hatches in the same casting deck. Pretty sweet huh?

Dont scold me if I'm wrong but I believe the 140's are hte first engine that list 3/8" fuel line as a requirementTroutlet wrote:Thank both of you very much. I just needed to hear that it wasn't an issue.

Re: size
Yep 120-150 depending on the type and age of the engine ( ie: do they sip or chug on the gas)Troutlet wrote:140's? Do you mean 140hp?

you can empty a 50 gallon tank with 3/8" tubing in about 30-40 mins tubing/pipe size is all about flow rate you will be hardpressed to find less then 3/8" tubing at places like bass pro but sometime take a look at your fitting (engine side) most are 1/4" with even smaller holes for gas inlet into the fitting
