It's probably just cracks in the fairing putty.

That's exactly what it was Jacques!! I have been pretty rough on her over the past 2 years and really need to make her pretty again.

Damn you design a good boat!!!

I've been grinding Kiwigrip for the past two days, damn that stuff is tough. I've completely sanded the rubrails and gunwhales down to the fiberglass, I plan on toughening these up with some 12oz glass and then fairing, priming and painting.
I have also over drilled all hardware mounts and will fill with epoxy.

The Kiwigrip on the deck is kicking my ass right now, I'm just taking the peaks and valleys down. Its like sanding sandpaper, I've already gone though about 25 40grit discs.

One lesson I learned on the Kiwigrip when you apply it the first time make sure that you have a thick enough coat down. It looks like where I put it on the deck and it was peeling up was because I had too thin of a coat.

I'll post pictures tonight.

Try a good paste type paint remover on the Kiwi Grip. It will remove it. I use one made by Jasco, works good. Get it from Lowes.

It's been a while since I've updated the progress, I finished in May and I might have had a few rum and pineapple juices since then.....I think I have lost a few of the pictures.....
