Well I went and did it. I got a 2007 Gheenoe hull for next to nothing. It has been hurt bad, but everything fiberglass can be fixed.
I'm building this for my son up in Richmond Hill, GA. He doesn't know it yet though. I hope to have it done by Christmas.
Its going to be a budget build built mostly with material I have on hand. The plan is front and rear decks, coffin box instead of mid seat and false floor/sole.

Re: Gheenoe Highsider Rebuild
Gheenoes are the greatest cheap boats ever made imo. I fish a 15'6 classic that I custom built. Great boat gets fished hard and put up wet daily. They are super stable and and have great handling. Customgheenoe.com will have good info on there form also.

Looks like a fun project. Knowing you I'm sure it will turn out great.

EEEEEEKKK! You did it Noles, you went and bought that one! Haha. Man I'm gonna be watching this close!
So when will the dust & 4 letter words start to fly?
One thing I might add, a low front deck may be the better option. Those highsiders can be tippy, depending on your son or his friends gymnast balancing skills, a high front deck may be too exciting.

Haha. Soon gramps soon The guy finally got the title and it was just too cheap to pass up and really not that much work to fix it....well compared to building one anyway....There really is not much to these little boats...good point on the low front deck, I may go that direction with it.

Was that boat not listed on Facebook? On the "trick my skiff" page?

I don't know Jacques, I'm not a facebook guy. It was on craiglist...
I did make a little progress.
I did some putty and glasswork on the outside bottom. I'm hoping to finish that today, then do some fairing, epoxy graphite the bottom and flip it and start on the inside.
I'll get some pics up sooner or later

The pics.
She sure is a lot stiffer than she was, with only the outside done.
Backing I used for the big hole:
