Where? Someplace where outsiders (+ potential builders) can meet and have a look at our boats.
Homosassa is a very nice place but we kept missing each other and some who came to see the boats never found the dock where we had the boats tied up.
Crystal River, the Keys, Sebastian and Boca Grande were fine from that point of view.
Boca Grande was the best with all the boats under our windows but how about the Florida panhandle? More driving for me but easy for our builders from GA, AL etc.

Fly in here, If you miss each other here there could be 4 reasons
1 you deliberately don't want to been seen
2 You are really stupid to get lost on a small island like this
3 You are too drunk drinking to much rum coke's or pure pirates rum, arch arch arch!
4 all of the above or combinations of it, but 3 is most likely here
Well at least you guys are gonna see 1 boat and maybe one in the pipeline

Peter, someday Sandi and I are going to visit your island

I watched your 60 Minutes baseball video a couple of times. Looks like an awesome place to hang out for a couple of weeks. BTW, it's impressive the way you guys crank out great baseball players

I liked Homosassa better than any place where we have had a meet so far. The restaurant at the home base hotel was a little sketchy but the room we had was 10 times better than the ones we stayed at in Boca Grande. The river was great and the fishing was good

It was a laid back place, I thought it was perfect...
I like the Panhandle or Fort Myers or Jacksonville. I just don't know any places at any of those locations that would be ideal for a meet

I'm really sorry we couldn't make it to Homasassa. Sounds fine to me. Hope I can make it this year. I know nothing about facilities or much else in the panhandle or upper gulf.

Larry the place we stayed with the water view rooms, I thought was nice, you know the one with the claw machine for crab and the very nice beach bar, the place Joel and his lovely wife and kids visited also that same time.

I once visited Pensecola Beach a very nice place for a meet in the upper golf I think

Jimmy Buffet also has a hotel/casino there, but you have to watch out it's also home of the Blue angels if I understood correctly, don't go there if they are having a flying show, a couple hotel nights at that moment will buy you a small house

well sort of

St. George Island is an awesome place. There are backwater areas for the smaller boats and not too far from some offshore fishing.

About Homosassa, it is true that the hotel looked good, If we go back there, I will not take my camper but get a room instead.
Now that we know the place, we can decide about meeting on the docks.
Fishing was probably good and that restaurant along the water, the no frills one one 1 mile away, was worth the trip.
I like the panhandle too but for St Georges island, is that not an island to reach by ferry?
