V10 sail question(s)

Hi:

I have some questions regarding the sail (and rigging) for the V10. I attempted Googling the bateau2.com website, I didn't find the answers (apologies if I should have but didn't).

On the V10 study plans, it says:

The sail option is not shown but she is rigged with a sprit sail, 35 sq.ft. same type of rig than our D4.

Looking at the D5 study plans, I see the sail is the same dimensions. I'm thinking the D4 is probably the same(?).

Looking at the PK78 I see:

She has more rocker in the bottom than the D4, is more stable thanks to her wider beam and uses a simple Optimist type (sprit) rig.

What I'm leading up to asking is:
1. Are the sprit sails for the V10/D4/D5/PK78 all the same?
2. Will an Optimist sail and rigging work with the V10? (I'd like to reuse what I already have) Would I have to re-position the location of centerboard or mast position on the V10?

Yes and yes.
All those small boats sails are the same and that sail plan is very close to an Optimist sail. You can use an Opti sail without any modifications.

Thanks so much. Great news. I ordered the V10 plans yesterday but just wanted to ask.

I see now I should have posted in "Small Boats" instead of "Sail Boats" since this forum is for 15' and larger, I'll post correctly in the future.

There are a few build threads for the V10, where there is some discussion of sail rigs, etc.
