support structure for repairs

Post by mulltr66 »

I'm planning on replacing all of my under deck bulkheads, stringers, and transom from the inside.

Can anyone provide me with proper bracing and support during the repairs?

Thanks

Mulltr66, I am sure you can get good guidance and support here on our Builders Forum. Why don't you start by giving a good description of the boat, name, size width, engine and then post a few good clear photos showing a measuring of one form or another so we can get and understand the length and width of what you are proposing!! Good luck and enjoy!! Jeff

I would build a full cradle and put it under the hull. Try to mirror the stringers from the outside. Doing more than just that would be good. After you cut out the stringers I guarantee the hull is going to be flexible and you will lose the shape if it is not very well supported. A normal fibreglass hull is a wet noodle until it has some stringers in it.
