Yes. I can provide a sketch and specs but not before mid November: I am delivering a boat right now.

Hello Jacques,
What would the VG18's draft be with a fixed keel?

Joel

It depends on the keel. :D

Seriously, if you have a cast keel or a welded keel, the draft will depend on the type of keel.
Do you have something or do you plan to build one?

The hull of the VG18 and VG20 are very close, the bottom panel is identical. Displacement is close. The VG20 has a fixed keel option included in the plans. It is a welded keel. If you want that drawing, we can include it in the VG18 plans. The draft will be 1 m or 3' 4".

Jacques,
Thanks for your speedy reply. I actually bought the plans a couple of years ago but it did not include the fixed keel option as the VG20 does. I stumbled on this topic and piqued my interest on that option. It would be great if you can email me the details of this option - let me know the cost of the extra details.

On the keel/daggerboard design, I read in a thread (can't find it now) that there is an option without a thru-bolt(?) and that you can provide the drawings?

Yours,
Joel

I have to check the plans but I think the integral CB keel is part of the VG18.
I"ll reply tomorrow.

Oops I meant centerboard. Yes, the pivoting CB with integral keel is part of the VG18 plans I have. But no fixed keel version. Also on another thread (which I cannot seem to find), you mentioned that you can supply alternative details of the pivoting centerboard without the use of thru bolts or something along those lines. Maybe I misread it.
