AR 15 Planning

Post by emmalroc »

Hello everybody!
I have just finished putting the floor down and am now working on the sides of the seats. I need to think about where I am going to put everything, such as cleats because I'll need a surface to screw into because 1/4 plywood won't work. So, for anyone who has built this boat before, do you have locations for anything and everything that needs to be added to the outside? Please let me know if you do, and I'll update soon with pictures! Thanks!
Emma

You need wide backing plates wherever you bolt hardware.

The exact location of every piece of hardware will vary with your customization of the rig and choice of sails: the location of a block for a small jib is very different from a block for a 150% genoa and different fora spinnaker. Same for the main sheet traveler.
I suggest you start with what the plans show.
