Thanks Richard
The meat is half inch thick, the dado and door rabbet are basically 3/4x3/4. Stock was 1 3/4 x 1 7/16. Pretty light, but we are not wanting bulk on starboard side.

Re: Woods Skoota 32DM
It is all getting epoxied on and painted, so not worried about burns, but we will sand them out some..

Some nice complex router work there Dan. Don't sand down the burn spots to much if your putting a gasket on. The epoxy will seal them and the paint will cover them.

Wow! That is some nice mill work! Was that 6 passes through a router?

Router 2 sides. I used a hand router for speed...two guys, 3 sticks easier than table passes and I'm pretty decent with it.., just gotta make sure not to get the helper with a flying bit!!!!
Then had to make some table saw passes to deal with tabbing.
Kudos again to Aripeka Angler. Yes, it has been awhile since he told me how to do it, but the bathroom door had to be toward the end because the darn thing would only be in my way.

Re: Woods Skoota 32DM
Well, today quite a bit more woodwork. These are not quite complete, but here is a friend Larry who helped me bang out two sets of these. I did the wood selections from my supplies and made the stringers with dados yesterday. Also, spent the weekend designing and redesigning them to fit the constraints. They are 8" treads on 9.1" risers. Had to be to not hit noggin on coaming around sliders in hull cabins.
These are dyestained prior to assembly with transtint bordeaux which creates the ugly pinkish color. But these will end up a rich red color on walnut after stain. They are glued, so no stain can be applied on glue seams..but the dye looks terrible over a glue spot, so we dyed them before gluework.
Zoom in, the top step has a bit of the finish stain on it.

I think you meant 9.1" treads on 8" risers. They look great.
