Glad you are still following Ken. Today, I remembered how you wanted the bottom of the cabin painted long ago. Maybe someday, despite political views, we can take her out on the gulf together.

If we all had the same viewpoint on every thing it would be really boring. And any progress would be slow to non existing.
Boat is looking good. You can tell there are lots of man hours in it. Your 5-8000 man hours is a good lesson for folks wanting to build a big boat.

Ain’t that the truth, I flirt with the idea. Then I read this thread and it gives me reason to pause.

I average 6 hours a day for 7 days a week.

I am at about 3.5 years.

365 • 3.5 = 1095 + 182 or 1277 days @ 6 or 7644 hours now...closer to the top end; paid some help

8000 is the better number, but the average is also deceiving because some days of vacation or now work means there have been some 12 hour days....

A boat like this ought to be built somewhere with lotsa build space and lots of cheaper labor and a well paid super.

Build space challenges also impact build time. Moving the boat hulls in an out required paid help. I had to put up a tent that cost 4000 and had to raise the tent this week and paid a guy 200 for the day and we both worked pretty hard to lift it and prep it to keep wind from lifting it off the ground. Anyhow, lots of little things add up like building a vac table and building a lifting gantry.

I'm lucky that God gifted me with a tolerant admiral and the abilities to conquer many challenges. The last ones are still to come and I am worried she is overweight now some..

Political differences has nothing to do with admiring someone's determination to finish something of such a long and difficult journey. When I first joined this forum I followed a lot of builds, they are all done now. I would really like to see yours on the water with you smiling about it getting there.

Overbores for front tramp padeyes. The padeyes I had were not gonna work. The new ones use 1/4" holes. I overbore 34 holes to 1/2". Filled with some fast epoxy bottom only. Will fill top with clear epoxy, then finish with some thickened.

I have a bad cold; got up at 11am. Same crap the rest had. Not Covid. But really have no get up n go.
