Everything I’ve played with is unfaired but covered with frp panels that have patterns. PITA when you are behind them but must have been cheaper than labor to sand.
My already completed 'Lil Bit'. A Martens Goosen V12 set up to sail me to the fishing holes.
Currently working on making a Helms 24 our coastal cruiser.

Wife not gonna enjoy seeing that.
Was curious so converted our prices to US$ and gallons. Here in NZ regular is $6.58/gal and premium $6.82/gal at a self service station, or at a full service station regular $6.90/gal and premium $7.36/gal. Add roughly another $0.24/gal if filling up at a marina.

Definitely sail or low hp displacement hull for my next boat.

Well, today I did wiring mostly,

Not much to see, but about a week of work and the engines will be ready for fuel tanks. Probably gonna use some small temps and earmuffs.

One thing about this job that makes it difficult is, for example, I need #8 gauge battery lugs. I had a couple, but needed two more. Off to Amazon I go. Then it goes on a to do list when stuff arrives.

I had a comm cable come up 3' short Thursday and had to buy one. $100 and a week wait.

So, switching gears to finishing systems and gonna backfill with mundane paintwork.

I’m with you on those problems, they really eat up the time and mental energy.

Have you checked auto parts stores for those items? Could be my location but most of them have adequate options.
