Re: LM18 LS RC
I am not sure the underside of an LM18 is supposed to look that nice

Re: LM18 LS RC
I'm pretty sure I don't want to sand and paint a compartment interior through a hatch hole, if I can do it before the compartment top is glued down. But there is some work in that too, planning and taping and masking... much easier than sanding through a hatch. And now, over ten years later, my body complains more loudly with some of that bending aound. You know I could actually squeeze my 6 foot 1.5 inch body into that cv16 cuddy, and shut the hatch... back then.
Not anymore! but doing that with a curved fore deck was much more of a project! Look for it in my gallery if you want to see what that took! I'd rather not relive it right now.
Here we need more pictures of an LM18, and its shaping together nicely

Going to finish the aft deck storage area. Add some more cleats and backing for the poling platform. Going to turn the sides areas into their own compartments leaving the center open. So three hatches on the aft deck.

Nice!
Re: LM18 LS RC
Well I tried to work on her.... Rain and wind got the best of me!!
I did find a build that the rain could not stop....
Funny thing my dog Hope does not like the rain... As soon as the roof was up, she came out..... About 200000000 screws...... $ 350 with floor frame.
Two days of rain and wind, but it came out nice. Now I can make some room in the carport to work on the LM18 easier.

Nice.
hmmm...

What's your plan for anchoring that structure down? Did you use those big ground screws? That's what was done with a shed we had in Bradenton, and a few days I was mighty glad of it, and that was a heavy stick and frame shed, with a lot of weight on its floor holding down even more. Thoughts?
I put the thin blue foam insulation on the ceiling in that shed and it dropped the summer temps in there by 20 deg F or more. What heat was then trapped between the foam board and the roof would mostly vent out a peak vent. I left a one inch gap between the walls and the celing foam board so the air could flow up and between the insulation and roof, and up out the peak. Made all the difference when I needed to do some work in there, and made me a bit more comfortable with Gas storage in there. Both I and the neighbor didn't think it would make that much of a difference, but wow! Enjoy the storage and the increased room for the boat work.

4 big ground screws. Going to seal all seams, hope to keep out the wasps and rain.
It was fun removing the old one...
