Can the boys launch and recover solo or do you have to help?

A few times with our motorized canoe we have tied the trailer off and used the trailer winch to get the canoe back up on the trailer and out of the water.

Once again the boat looks great!

You did good!!!

The boys look happy and ready to leave the Old Man at the dock😏

Check with Tom on the OB size, prop and/or placement height on transom. I'm running a 9.8 4 stroke on my FS14 SandPiper. I do 20 plus and she is heavy, first build like this for me. Tom maybe can speed things up for you.

Time to go fishing.....

Thanks Travis. Ben really wanted to style it after the FS18, it looks like it's little brother!

The boys put the boat in the water themselves on Monday. The trailer has tilt and it slides off really nicely. I had to help get the boat back onto the trailer. More of just holding the wheel blocks in place so it doesn't roll as they crank her on. If it was connected to a trailer hitch I think they could manage to to get her loaded on their own. I may play with a few ways to anchor the trailer more firmly and the way they are growing it won't be long before they have the strength to just muscle it.

The boys were more than happy to leave me at the dock! I ordered new jets for the carb to bump up the hp to 6. I'll see what that does and I may play around the trim a little as well.

The boat has been out three times for short little trips. The high tide has been late in the day so we really haven't had a lot of time to do any fishing or fine tuning before it gets dark. I have a little more than 2 hours on the front and rear of high tide to get out through the creek into the main water way. This coming weekend the boys are planning their first fishing expedition since high tide will be mid morning on Saturday and Sunday.
