Don't worry I didn't think you were calling me dense, I was calling myself dense because I didn't read your post well before responding and when I did read it took a few tries. Not my sharpest on 2 hours sleep.

Ordered the 4" fairlead today. Will get it Friday! Seen some 9" hand rails I like in Stainless too! If the fairlead is not small enough I may try to make a little roller fairlead.

The 4" straight fairlead came in today and I think it will work. Holding in place I could move the line from side to side and it was still a fairly straight pull.

Looks like that will work fine. Not the kind of thing I've considered but I think you worked out a perfect solution. :D
