Navy Builer13, Same story with me whenever I'm hovering the engine, except the scupper I bought really limits the flow, more like a trickle.

Now today, I gave it a true test. Had a small weather window before it started blowing, so I heading down to Sabine Lake. In addition to the motor and 5 gallon gas tank, I also had a clamped powerpole micro-anchor (20lbs +-) back there. Still got 22mph on the way back to the dock with a cooler of fish, front hatch filled with tackle/tools/extra clothes. The boat can hit the creeks with the best of them, and damn, does that awgrip clean up easier than gelcoat.

1)First fish (Check out the tail color- they were so cold they didnt know how to fight-more of a wiggle with mouth out of the water like a trout
2)Bunch of Nutria out today (saw 7 swimming close to me today, what up wid dat?)
3)Boat was a dirty girl but proud on the ride home
4)Limit of Reds and Trout, can't beat it. (caught 10 reds and 6 trout total

Short vid of ride home in open water. Comfy... https://youtu.be/98T3Sz88ln8

Thank you fents, finally got the family on the boat last weekend. We went caamping for the weekend at Inks Lake St Park, NW an hour of Austin last week. Here's a couple pics of the set up, love this little boat. Performs just fine with my hefty self and two munchkins.

Cute kids! I missed the pictures of the boat dirty! Nice catch!

Very cool and great build. I’m waiting on SeaDek, install a new micro pole and fish finder and I can call mine done as well.

Very nice. It looks much larger than the original design.

Very nice. I go to Inks Lake often to hike, haven't taken my SK14 yet but keep intending too. Beautiful place for sure.
