AD16 Chinese lug sail mast & boom ? for Jacques

Post by Bogieman »

Hi Jacques,
I would like to reach out to Dwyer for an estimate on the lug rig (mast/ boom etc) but I need a little clarification. The plans show a mast that tapers from 3" to 1 2/2" and a boom that is 2" in diameter but I can't find their length. Where do I find this?

Also, I'm planning to use the exact lug sail specs that you show in the plans.

Thanks
Bogie

198 and 151.
It's on the plans, very clearly.
On the rig drawing, not on the sail drawing.

BTW, the mast does not have to be tapered, the difference in weight is minimal. You can use a plain tube.

Hi Jacques. I don't mean to be a pest and I'm not disputing those measurements are there, but could you tell me the plan / pg#. I still can't find it. And are that's in inches correct?

It's drawing D268/12 titled Sail Plan - Chinese Lug.

Let me know if you have that drawing with the dimensions. If not, I have to talk to the BBC office and check what is included in the plans packages they ship.

Here's a pic of my digital plans. I was on the right page but for some reasons the dimentions are not there/ different. Anyway, thank you and I'm good to go now.

Thank you
