Hey Y'all! I was very pleased to learn that I won Best in Show for the motor division at the Wooden Boat Show in Port Aransas, TX this weekend! The boat is an FS18, +10% in width. It's a nice boat but I didn't figure on winning! Thanks to Jacques for the help and the design and to everyone on this forum that helped out during the build process.
The trophy is a nice, etched mug that is currently chilled and full of my favorite beer.
Thanks!

Good news and thank you for bringing your boat to the show. Two years ago, we almost made best in show. Richard and I were judges and I didn't vote for any of my designs despite the fact that they were the best.

Congratulations your boat deserves it. Any of Jacques designs are top of the notch and well designed and can last for decades if well maintained. There is a C19 out that was the first built in the mid 1990's still going strong, That is 20+ years. CL GF16 is still going strong from the early 2000's. And many different boats in between.

Congratulations Mike!

Congratulations! The design is beautiful but it takes a master builder to win an award!
Enough stalling, where's the pictures?!

I didn't take many pictures. Sorry guys. I'll post what I can once I figure out how to post them. It's been awhile since I've been on the forum. Forgive me.
