Fellow Boat Builders,
I discovered this form when I commissioned Boat Builder Central to cut out my boat's bulkheads.
I hope over next few years I can ask and get a lot good advice.

We look forward to many pictures of your build. What are the specs for your boat?

Ply on frame?
Re: 21ft Fantail Electric Launch
Welcome Jorgy21, very nice to meet you and your wife!!! Happy building!! Jeff

The construction is strip planking over plywood bulkhead with laminated keel and later fiber glassed.

Wow! That is a beautiful boat!
"that it isn't just an ordinary sort of boat. Sometimes it's a Boat, and sometimes it's more of an Accident. It all depends." "Depends on what?" "On whether I'm on the top of it or underneath it."

I built a strip canoe years ago.
It speeds up the process if you can start at the chine because you can glue strips in two directions. It doesn't look doable on this one, but you can work side to side.
I remember spending 8 hours at the lumber yard looking for knotless cedar.

Still learning how to post.
Maybe this time with the actual picture.
I have cut out, edge shaped, routed and fitted all ten ribs to the keel.
Now the fun part of cleaning out the garage bay and taking down the 24' table and starting the real build upside down.

Has anyone used Victoria Propeller Prop Calculator or a similar one?
I used this calculator to design my boat to target a 14” diameter propeller and set propeller center point 12” below predicted waterline and 1” driveshaft. In addition the calculator gave me my expected hull speed of 5.5 knots, select a 10 horsepower Etek motor, target a 14” propeller with pitch of 10, and a target pulley ratio of 3. The propeller and pulley selection are still open the only thing locked down is 1” shaft size and 12” below waterline. Plus the pulleys can be changed after boat launch to fix issues.
Does anyone have sources for 3 blade, 14” dia,pitch 10, 1” shaft?
