weight of plywood

Im finding alot of difference in weight from one site to another,here it says meranti 5ply 6mm 25lbs,other site says 31 lbs ?? same ply same amount of plys.Who is right?

meranti is always heavier than okume

use averages when in doubt about vendor claims

Old boss of mine lives close to Narfi. He had to fly all his building plywood in. I remember him saying plywood weighs 12.5 pounds per 1/8 inch of thickness. Pretty sure if you use that number it will be close enough for boat building :wink:
