Got her painted. I want to do some finish work on it. What grit sand paper would you use for wet sanding this?

Primer coats look really good! No need to wet sand in my opinion. I usually sand to a desired smoothness, 320 is usually good. You can go higher but I don't think you will notice much difference. The important thing is to get all of the pin hole issues worked out before you paint.

This is actually the first coat of paint. It's a steel grey so it does look like the primer.

I put the 2nd coat of paint on last night and I ran out of light so the pain was thick is some areas i just want to wet sand those down to perfection if possible.

Here's a pic of one of the spots it's hard to get it on camera but I think you know what I mean.

Gotcha. Paint job looks pretty good from here! Maybe someone else can chime in with a wet sanding response. The technical data sheet for Interlux Brightside says to sand with 220-320 grit between coats but does not talk about wet sanding the final coat. Do you have enough paint to sand with 320 grit and re-coat with a thin coat?

Yeah should have plenty. I only used 1 quart to do 2 coats still have another quart left but I'm using it on other parts of the boat too. I'll try 320 and see where I'm at from there thanks.

Boat looks great! You will appreciate that rubrail outside of the hull we really load my fs14ls down and a lot of times idling crossing wakes water comes up to there then sprays straight out instead of coming on over the boat. I ran 2 layers of 3/8ply strips ripped 1.5”. What are you going to power yours with? Here’s mine

I have an old 5hp to start but I'm going to pick up a 15hp asap.

What type of wood did you use as the support for the top deck? Oak is the cheapest locally but I'm not sure what I should be using.
