This is my first post, so... Hello everybody!
It's just for a question about the position of the appendages in the SB18.
Studying the plane I see that the CB position is further back than the bulb keel.
My intention id to build the boat with the bulb keel.
Will be the boat more luffing or this is an useless question? ))

Re: SB18, CB position vs bulb keel position
The CLR of a CB will have more lead than on a fixed keel.
The lead is the difference between the sail CE and the keel (CB) center.
Plus, I consider that the builders who choose a bulb keel are performance oriented and will often use the spi therefore, that sail CE will, most of the time, be more forward and the keel CLR is moved forward accordingly.
If you have a bulb keel and rarely use the spi, then a fine adjustment can be made by raking the mast forward. As designed, the mast has a strong rake, this give us room to adjust.
