Kicked back in a chair, drinking a beer, overseeing a sanding operation..........somebody is putting their higher education to good use

The rubrails are bare wood below the paint. No epoxy. 8O

I can't believe y'all are sanding without more protection lol. I would itch for days! I have a full hooded suit and I use a full face mask, even with the sander hooked up to the vacuum and a big exhaust fan pulling any dust out. I'm fine with liquid epoxy but when it comes to sanding it, it doesn't take much to make me itch. Sanding is my least favorite part of boat building
Boats restored: 1973 Glastron CV16, 1990 Proline 17 CC, 1993 Bass Boat
Boats built: custom 15ft flat bottom skiff, Soon-to-be-built TX18 (originally dborecky's build)

It is time laps!
"that it isn't just an ordinary sort of boat. Sometimes it's a Boat, and sometimes it's more of an Accident. It all depends." "Depends on what?" "On whether I'm on the top of it or underneath it."

A young man that works for us has now taken on John's LM18. I gave him enough to become very dangerous! Encouraged him to start his own thread or take this one over. Given the acquisition of Larry's boat there's no way to wrap my head around finishing it. Third times a charm!
