PapaDave wrote: Sat Apr 03, 2021 1:37 pm Been working on gutters, oars pocket (for spare oars), gunwales, and a lot of detail sanding. Crawling inside of those hatches and sanding has been an interesting challenge. Still need to final fair the interior, paint everything and install hatches. A long way to go! She has been named "Pacific". I am looking forward to a float/camping trip in the Spring.

Looks like plenty of storage space, great work!

Thank you Jeff,
It should hold all of the gear I need. Have to build a cooking fire grill and a few camp tables that will fit inside.

Thank you Fuzz. I finished fairing the interior and now cutting templates for SeaDek prior to interior paint. I am trying out Kirby paint from Massachusetts. In business for over 175 years so it should be good quality. They stock orange that I am using for the lower 2/3 of the hull and then an ivory stripe above that which runs into the interior. Rolled on the first base coat of orange and it is was just what I was after for a whitewater dory. Also ordered four 10.5 feet ash oars from Sawyer in Oregon and the lead time was 10 weeks. They are busy with a huge demand right now! Anticipate being done and ready to splash when the oars arrive.

Lots of interior sanding the last month. Applied the first coat of ivory paint to the interior! Prepping for hatch covers installation, making four ash grab handles, cutting Seadek, and moving down the completion list of infinite items. My goal is to splash by the end of June.
