I like the jump box idea more than my jumper cables post. Re the troll motor, I don't think Ulterra comes in 12v, only 24 and 36. I'd go the 24v and cough up the dough for 2 lithium-ion batteries to save weight.

Re: LM18 Houston Tx
Work has kept me away for a while but i made some progress this week.
I appreciate all the feedback on the electrical. All good advice. I am now thinking i will install the 12V trolling motor system. As noted by cbuf, I think it will be a good fit for this boat.
I just finished some trim work that looks pretty good. I hope it holds up. I did 3 coats of epoxy resin followed by 5 coats of spar varnish.
Next job is painting the top deck. I will use AlexSeal again but this time i will be adding applying non stick. I will be using SoftSand.
I have someone lined up to the the aluminum work including the post for the center console and the poling platform. Still working on procuring a motor. I wanted the 40hp Mercury but i have not had much luck finding one. However, i have found a good local boat shop that can provide me with a Honda. It is only 8lbs heavier so i am pretty close going that direction.

Cockpit painted and non skid down. I used Softsand and AlexSeal paint. I ended up putting three coats of paint after laying down the Softsand. It looks and feels pretty good.
Next the deck which will be white.

Non skid on top deck next. Then varnish the rub rails. Then motor and wiring.
I did find a motor but it doesn't come in until late September.
I am still trying to find someone to do the aluminum work.
