1708 is ounces
600/225 is the measurement, but 400/225 is okay as well

If you only have 400g, two layers is best

Glass wrap, min 1 layer 400/225 or 600/225 or two layers 400 or 4 layers 200

Stagger, one long piece first about say 10" wide and the other one 6" wide, or just one piece with mat done real well, not air holes..

I agree with fallguy you want to strengthen the bracket. I would put 4 layers on the bottom, 2 layers on all of the insides, 3 layers on the out sides, 2 layers on each side of the top. You want to prevent any flexing of any surfaces. When you decide how high your motor bracket mount has to be cover it with glass also. Remember most brackets are made of aluminum and you want yours just as strong.

Well good luck.

I am not certain that I understand the choice but a longer shaft motor is better, safer.

Longer motor keeps engine higher up and less likely to drown in broaching waves/surf.

Keep what you have.

Good plan, but you do need to go over the top with glass or the ply will open on the endgrains and get water soaked..

yes, I know that but I'll only do that later when I laminate the bathing platform then I do everything on top of each other then I don't need to sand down as much
