No. I laminated all the strips using wood flour thickened epoxy. After they were all laid up I carved them into shape using a block plane. This was one of the most enjoyable projects on my first build, even more fun on this boat.

Re: CCTXF20
Strakes are installed and being shaped. I really like using the carbide scraper to remove the excess epoxy before shaping with the box plane.
Re: CCTXF20
I use that same little carbide scraper (linbide?) the same way. Handy thing.

I hate to say it that center strake is way to close to the tunnel. It will disrupt whe water going into the tunnel. You need to move it 2-3' forward or better you get rid of it all together. It is not needed and is not shown on the plans or study plans. There should be nothing in front of the tunnel. Maybe some of the other builders will confirm this or Jacques.

That is a good catch Tom.
Undisturbed or little disturbed water is desired at the tunnel.
I'd remove it. Not sure if we discussed these earlier, but Tom is right.

It’s been a while since I’ve been able to make any progress on the boat but I’m back at it again. Primed and epoxy/graphite bottom coat is almost finished.
