Lm18 paint topside and hull
Lm18 paint topside and hull
I’m in the process of building a lm18. If my boat will stay on a trailer vs in a boat slip, can I leave off the bottom paint? The plan was to use interlux or alexseal on the hull and topside, but I’m second guessing if that’s acceptable.

If it were mine I would not even think of putting bottom paint on it.

If you use a good 2 part top side paint you will be fine. It has been proven be several guys on here that even 2-3 days in the water will be fine, with a top of the line paint.

A good 2-part Polyurethane Topcoat is what I would recommend. No need to use bottom paint on a boat that will only be in the water for few days at most.
