Good morning,

According to plans and some pictures there is approximately a 1" gap or space between the stringers and the motor well sides.

My question is how do you get down in there to fillet and glass the inside of the motor well side to the hull bottom?

Or just leave it alone?

Would it be beneficial to shrink the splash well opening width and bring the motor well sides in so they are flush to the stringers?
Epoxy them to the stringers to act as knees?

Assuming engine clearance would still be sufficient.

Looking at my 3D model, I see what happened. I expected the builder to install the stringers, do all the stringers tabbing then install the MW side before the installation of the cleats. At that stage, it is tight but still possible to get fiberglass in between. It is also possible to install leftover plywood between the stringers and the MW sides.
What happened here is that the builder installed the cleats before the MW side and the cleats get in the way.
No big deal. It looks very strong, you did a good fiberglass job. If you want, at the stringers level, you can double the glass tape on the inside. I would also fill the gap with foam. Not for strength but to keep water out if you ever water in the bilges.

I'll keep watching this thread.

I must clarify; that is not my boat build.
I haven't started yet.
Just familiarizing myself with the plans and trying to game plan the build.
If I go with the PG25; still got a few others I'm considering.

Excellent. It will be much easier to follow the recommended parts installation sequence. I like to use plywood spacer between the two parts.
