PH22 alternate layout

Post by fallguy1000 »

Can't post picture in plans forum.

Can I get rid of the 'bench' or yellow arrow area?

And or make the splashwell bulkhead lower? Then livewell forward at purple and make two seats aft by engine blue or if forced to keep motorwell bh; I can well those areas..

For each of those frames:
- leave the part under the sole
- above the sole, leave a small frame along the sides minimum 3" wide.

Note that to lower the level of the motorwell bulkhead reduces safety. That high bulkhead is an important safety feature. The USCG capacity calculations take that bulkhead in account.

I understand the full height transom desire.

What if I armstrong bracket the engine to pickup some fishing space? Can I full height the transom and then half height the motorwell bulkhead, or build 18" wide well full height and half height the Frame ?F for a bench?

Yes, you can do that. A bracket is a nice addition to that boat. For the framing, keep the floor frames and support the sides and coaming with narrow framing.
