I notice you've lowered your splash-well to the same height as the transom cutout.

Thanks for the advice i will keep a eye on the welds. Im using 5556 welding rods.

Should i put a raised lip on the edge of the splash area? or should I raise the platform around the splash pan?
I'm not sure if the water would overflow.

In this case I like the raised lip. To me it is just one more thing making that area stronger.
