Hi, after a long time of figuring out which boat would best suits my needs, i think the MG20 is the best to build a fast ,tough, big motor, bass boat. So I have got some questions. Is itpossible to build this boat with a foam core? If possible, what foam parameters should be used? Next question, is there an option to build that hull with a pad ? What about build in transom bracket ?
Thanks

Re: MG20 Few questions
Foam yes, I may somewhere have the specs for that. You will need much more fiberglass and resin. The bottom will be solid glass, not foam. It will cost at least three times as much as the plywood cored version.
Pad, yes but it require to change the transom height = complicated and useless if a bracket is used.
A bracket version is an option.

Thank you, so propably i will use plywood, or may be there is an option to build hybrid. Plywood bottom and transom, and rest with foam core yeah, i know, im complicating simple solutions

Foam to do well is NOT for an amateur. Foam requires special intersections so that fast hulled bass boats do not crush hull core on wave impacts. The amount of time you will spend building this hull in foam vs ply is in multiples of time..
Re: MG20 Few questions
Going back to bracket. What about step in a hull at a transom ? Like it is in stepped hulls boats. I would like to not get an extra length (max 20ft) by adding extra bracket but to get some adveanteges of having bracket. Example in picture if i said something umunderstandable

The pod maker will do this for you. If you don't put the step in, the pod drags.

Re: MG20 Few questions
Pod needs to allow for hole shot..among others.
Re: MG20 Few questions
A bracket/pod will add 24-30" to the length of your boat, I would just go with a transom mount. If you want a swim platform and ladder, go with a good one from a company like Garelick.
