Re: LM 18 Build in Austin
Thanks....HPLV is definitely the way to go, but man, it is a learning by mistake process. If my wife ever lets me build another one in our garage, it may actually look like I know what I am doing...
Re: LM 18 Build in Austin
OK.....went dark on posting for a long time, but getting close to crossing the finish line.....The first set is pretty self explanatory....flipped it and started on the glassing and stringer layouts.
Re: LM 18 Build in Austin
Nice progress!!! Jeff
Re: LM 18 Build in Austin
I somehow 'lost' the pics I took while foaming and laying down the sole, but the from the front bulk head to the back is completely foam filled. I laid down the wiring chase tubes and began to build up the storage, in deck fuel tank, etc.

Re: LM 18 Build in Austin
And...its starting to look like a boat....had to fill in some gaps with some epoxy/wood flour peanut butter, but is coming together....then transferred from the strong back to the trailer

Re: LM 18 Build in Austin
Making good progress....this first group shows a little clean up on the lines and filling gaps with a wood flour mix to prep for glassing the deck

Then it was on to glassing the deck and my favorite part of boat building.....faring (with a hint of sarcasm)....
