Curved fairing board?

There's a fairing board for sale at the nearby flea market that I wonder if I should get.

Looked to be commercially made, had remnants of an old label. Plastic, about 24" long, but it has a stiff bow throughout its length that raises the center about 2" when layed flat. When pressing down I can tell the center would apply less than half the pressure that would be under my hands near the ends. So I walked.

Should I get that to go with my more flexible homemade 1/4" ply ones?

It seems a curve the other way would be better.

It would be handy for sanding curved and rounded surfaces.

That may be it. Seems it would have to be for a specific curve. There are several legacy boatbuilding companys in this area. Maybe made for one of them.
